The QTR-8RC Line Follower Sensor is an 8-channel infrared reflectance sensor array designed for accurate and fast line detection. It is widely used in line-following robots, autonomous vehicles, and educational robotics projects.
Each sensor detects the difference between light and dark surfaces by measuring reflected IR light, making it ideal for tracking black lines on white backgrounds (or vice versa).
The QTR-8RC uses RC (resistor-capacitor) timing based digital outputs, allowing it to work without an analog input, and making it compatible with most microcontrollers.
