A pH sensor is an electronic device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a liquid. It determines the pH value on a scale from 0 to 14, where:
-
pH < 7 → Acidic
-
pH = 7 → Neutral
-
pH > 7 → Alkaline (Basic)
pH sensors are widely used in water quality monitoring, agriculture, aquariums, laboratories, and industrial applications.
How It Works
The pH sensor consists of a pH probe (glass electrode) and a signal conditioning module.
When the probe is dipped into a liquid, it generates a small voltage proportional to the hydrogen ion concentration. This voltage is converted into a readable pH value by the sensor module.
